Hey! You may remember last year we put together a combination of Friday patterns to curate a seasonal capsule wardrobe. As we head into another new season we thought it would be fun to refresh our wardrobe with some new seasonal make plans, and highlight how we are going to be styling the garments together to make a capsule. It's a great way to be more mindful when sewing, and more thoughtful with how pieces tie together. Continue reading to find out more.
The patterns:
Our patterns are designed to work together effortlessly, whatever your personal style. For this capsule we want to focus on garments that can be dressed more casual for working from home, but also have a classic quirky feel to them. The main element tying the pieces together is the fabric choices of denim, sage green and grey tones, and leopard print. We hope by showing you our process with planning our makes that it inspires you to look through your fabric stash, or purchase new with intention.

- Heather Blazer in a green corduroy from Textile Express
- Bernadette Skirt in denim from Fabrics Galore
- Butano Button Up in sage green gingham, I made this a few months ago and it goes with everything!
- Friday Bateau Top I need to make more of these in plain colours, this is a rib jersey from Sew Me Sunshine
- Pogonip Pullover in a sweatshirt knit
- Saguaro Set Pants Viscose leopard print fabric
- Donny Shirt in the same denim as the Bernadette Skirt
- Rambler Pants In the same corduroy as the Heather Blazer
- Beachcomber Jacket In a lilac lenzing coating from Pigeon Wishes
Outfit ideas:
This is probably the most stand out look of the capsule, with the leopard print Saguaro Set pants, styled with a lilac Beachcomber Jacket, denim Donny Shirt, and some lace up boots! I love this outfit, it would be great for so many occasions.
The same beachcomber jacket, styled with the a denim Bernadette Skirt, Friday Bateau Top, with some chunky dr martens. This would be a great fall outfit for meeting friends for lunch or a day our somewhere.
I already have this Butano Button up, and it goes with so much already, but I think it would look amazing with the denim Bernadette Skirt!
Dress up the skirt with the corduroy Heather Blazer.
I love a double denim look, and the Donny and Bernadette would be made in the same denim so it would match and look great together to look like a dress. Styled with the blazer and boots will give is a more dressy vibe.
Go matchy matchy with the blazer, and rambler pants made in the same corduroy!
This is a really casual outfit, perfect for days when I work from home!
Another comfy yet stylish look would be the Saguaro pants with a sweatshirt Pogonip pullover, this would be such a great cosy day look.
This is the same look, but with a blazer which dresses it up a bit more.
Lastly, the denim Donny Shirt with the rambler pants, is a great casual outfit for days out with family
