Introducing our latest pattern: the Friday Sport Shorts! These woven shorts feature pockets, an elastic drawstring waistband, and cute bound edges. The Sport Shorts are easy to sew and fun to wear, perfect for all your summertime activities.
Don’t let the name fool you, you do not need to do sports to wear these shorts! They are great for walking, lounging, working from home, gardening, sleeping, etc.
The Sport Shorts are a design we made a couple years ago but timing has never aligned for them to be released. We have been wanting to offer free/more accessible content for a while and have decided that this is a great opportunity to do that! Fabric Suggestions:
The Sport Shorts are a scrap busting project! This pattern is a great opportunity to dive into your stash and have fun pairing unexpected prints/color together! Any light-mid weight woven fabric works great. If you are using a heavier fabric, consider making your binding out of something lighter otherwise it may get bulky.
The Sport Shorts are a loungewear essential that are as comfy as they are cute! These babies can be sewn up to suit your style and really take on the life of whatever fabric you use. As you can see by the samples on our beautiful models, you can really play around with the binding fabrics to contrast your main fabric. Whether you choose to match your fabrics or choose a clashing print or color, it's a great way to show your personal style.
Sizing Notes:
The Sport Shorts have an easy fit. The most important measurement to consider when selecting a size is your hips. The elastic waistband with a drawstring makes the fit through the waist flexible and comfortable.
Yardage Requirements:
