And sew it begins… The holiday season is here and it would rude-olf not to get excited about festive makes! In this post we have rounded up some looks, to give you all the seasonal style inspiration you need to feel merry & bright.
Let us sew, let us sew, let us sew!
Velvet
Velvet is going to be a huge trend focus this year and it’s not hard to see why. Not only can velvet be cozy & warm for loungewear but it can also elevate a look for party season. Expect to see velvet as wrap dresses, matchy suits, snazzy jackets, and glamourous jumpsuits. Sew up the Avenir Jumpsuit in a rich velvet color for a comfy yet stylish look.
Dark Green
Green hues of all shades are big on trend this winter but for the holiday season, the big focus is on dark green. The joy of handmade is all the different textured fabric options like silks, corduroy, and more. The Adrianna dress in Dark Green satin would be perfect for Christmas day or new years eve. Or a cord Ilford jacket for a holiday season walk, Green puff sleeve Sagebrush top, or Hughes dress in dark green like the button-up dress in the collage.
Statement Dresses
Either you’re a dress up or dress down kind of person over the holidays but you can’t deny the dreaminess of a statement dress even if there aren’t as many parties this year. Go big and stay home with a statement puff sleeve, frills, and tie up details. The Sagebrush top would be great hacked into a dress, the Wilder Gown or Westcliff patterns would be great options for statement dresses. The pink lace dress by @ravenmaureen_ is beautiful and could be worn all year round but would look stunning in other shades for Christmas time.
Whatever your plans are this holiday season there are plenty of me-made options for feeling jolly and festive. Hopefully, this post gave you lots of ideas for last-minute makes! Share your creations with us on social media, tag us @fridaypatterncompany
