Wren Wrap Dress Fitting

The Wren Wrap Dress has adjustable tank straps. It crosses in the front creating a v-neckline. Ties wrap around the waist and tie in the back. Because of the nature of the wrap, the waist and hip fit are somewhat flexible. Fitting the bodice may require a bit more customizing as your bust height, waist length, shoulder breadth all factor in.

Below are a some common fit adjustments and how to do them:

Gaping along the neckline:

  • Slash horizontally across Front (A) toward armscye. Don’t cut all the way through armscye.
  • Pivot upper piece downward to remove desired amount of fabric. Tape in place.
  • Smooth out and redraw center front neckline curve.

Gaping along the underarm seam:

  • Slash horizontally across Front (A) from armscye toward center front. Don’t cut all the way through center front.
  • Pivot upper piece downward to remove desired amount of fabric. Tape in place.
  • Smooth out and redraw center armscye curve.

Bodice sitting too high in underarms:

  • Slash horizontally across Front (A) above armscye, cutting all the way across.
  • Lower upper piece to remove desired amount of fabric. Tape in place.
  • Smooth out and redraw neckline and armscye curves.
