Rambler Pants Fitting and Adjustments
The Rambler Pants were drafted based of measurements for a 5’10” cis male body. We recommend choosing a size based on your hip measurements.
Lengthening/Shortening the Pants
- On Front (A) and Back (B) cut across the lengthen/shorten line.
- To lengthen, spread the pieces apart to add the desired amount of length. Tape a scrap of paper in place behind your new opening.
- To shorten, overlap the pieces to remove the desired amount of length. Tape in place.
- Redraw sideseams.
- Trace new pattern pieces!
Adjusting the Rise
- On Front (A) draw a line going in perpendicular to the notch at the sideseam. Draw a line straight up at a 90 degree angle from your line going up a few inches. Draw another line at a 90 degree angle from your line going straight in to center front landing along the fly.
- Cut along the line to separate your Front (A) into upper and lower pieces.
- To lengthen, spread the pieces apart to add the desired amount of length. Tape a scrap of paper in place behind your new opening.
- To shorten, overlap the pieces to remove the desired amount of length. Tape in place.
- Repeat this process on Back (B).
- Trace new pattern pieces!
