Wardrobe Week | Planning Our Me Made May

Wardrobe Week | Planning Our Me Made May

This week we are wardrobe planning ahead of me made May! We wanted to take this time to contemplate our me made wardrobe wish list and collate a list of projects we want to make! Continue reading to find out more.

Chelsea's Wardrobe Plans:

  • Black linen Heather Blazer - A Heather Blazer in linen will be a great spring/summer layer. Linen is a warm weather friendly fabric and has a relaxed look that I think will work nicely in my existing wardrobe.
  • Saltwater Slip Dress with a drop waist and gathered skirt tier - This is a hack I am going to do out of a cotton block print fabric.
  • Corduroy Patina Shacket - I made this last year and I want to wear it more often! You can see the images + adjustments made on this IG post.
  • Donny shirt out of a sweater knit fabric for a cool t-shirt kinda vibe, split down the front, with ties made by knitting instead of sewing.
  • Elysian bodysuit with a skirt hack over the top, as a cute active work out dress garment for hot summery days.
  • Corduory Sport Shorts - I have some of the corduroy fabric that I used to make the Patina hack leftover and I want to make a matching set by using it to make a pair of sport shorts!
  • Short Sleeve Page Hoodie (by Chalk and Notch Patterns)
  • Mini Saturday Skirt Set Skirt in denim
  • Daughter Judy Coe Trousers in green denim
  • A black tube top - I'll be self drafting a pattern for this. I love a good tube top and I'm planning to use some black knit I have in my stash to throw it together.

Paige's Wardrobe Plans:

Hey, Paige here! So my sewing plans are probably a bit ambitious (when are they not) but my hope it to sew these over the course of summer, not just for May. I have been designing my plans to fit with eachother like a capsule wardrobe, and trying to be more mindful when it comes to my fabric and colour choices. I think I have a good mix of casual, dressy, and statement pieces.

Make plans:

  • Patina Blouse dress hack, with tiered gathered skirts fabric from Rainbow Fabric Kilburn.
  • Rambler Pants denim shorts hack, with added embroidery details.
  • Matching Donny Shirt and Saguaro Set shorts fabric from Bornella Fabrics, this will look so cute as an ouffit for a festival or styled as separates for some fun bright statement pieces.
  • Saturday Skirt Set in gorgeous fabric from Fabric Godmother.
  • Stripe grey Saguaro Set Pants in fabric from Minerva.
  • Pink cord pants New Craft House jeans pattern.
  • Up-cycled existing Patina Blouse, from a dress to a cropped shirt.
  • Satin slip skirt.
  • Denim vest is an existing up-cycled project, and the white tee is a RTW.

We hope you enjoyed seeing our sewing plans for our me made wardrobe, and that is has inspired some new makes for yourself. It's a lot of fun being able to curate your own style, with a mix of me-made, thrifted, up-cycled and ready-to-wear.
