The #SaltwaterSlip is a simple slip dress with adjustable straps that can be layered or worn on its own. The pattern comes with two length options: above the knee, and tea length (with side slits). It also comes with optional side ties to add a bit of waist shaping. Wear this slip over a tee shirt, under a sheer dress, or on its own! This is a pullover dress with no closures. You'll want to make this easy-to-sew slip again and again!
Sizing info: This pattern comes in XS-7X (32"/81cm-60"/152cm bust) and includes multiple cup size options (B/C and C/D).
A slip is an essential and timeless foundational wardrobe piece. We wanted to design a slip that was beginner friendly as well as something that would compliment existing Friday patterns. The #SaltwaterSlip is the perfect addition to your handmade wardrobe. It's a great foundational wardrobe piece that you'll want to make again and again. It is a simple design with infinite styling potential.
Styling Ideas:
The great thing about a Slip Dress, is how versatile it is. There are many ways you can style a slip dress but a few suggestions would be to layer it under something sheer (like a flowy dress), over your favorite tee, or of course all on its own!
It's a great piece for everyone because you can really make it in your own personal style. Pop on a leather jacket and sneakers for a cool everyday look or some heels and a blazer for date night!
Casual:
The Saltwater Slip is a great layering piece which looks great in casual looks. Layer over blouses, t-shirts and roll necks depending on the season and also try wearing a sweater over the top or even a t-shirt tied in a knot at the waist! Super cute with sneakers, sandals or boots.
